The UAPA Board of Directors has determined unanimously to cancel this year’s annual meeting. While we are disappointed we will not be able to provide numerous educational opportunities, the health and safety of all attendees, faculty, staff, and industry partners was paramount in our decision to cancel the meeting.
Annual Meeting Registration
Your registration with the UAPA 9th Annual Meeting will be automatically cancelled and a refund will be issued. Please allow 60 days to process your refund.
As a registered attendee, you are responsible for cancelling any hotel bookings you had made previously to attend the UAPA 9th Annual Meeting. The cancellation policy for the official UAPA room block at the Ritz-Carlton St. Louis, states the following:
“A deposit equal to one night’s stay is required to hold a reservation. These deposits are fully refundable if the hotel is notified 24-hours prior to arrival and a cancellation number is obtained.”

Please contact your travel agents or airlines to assist you with any refunds. Many airlines are being very accommodating with cancellations at this time. Now in its 15th year, and intended for undergrads through professionals, the Summer Institute is a 7 week program known for its engaging and approachable faculty, enthusiastic alumni network, & networking with faculty and participants from all over the globe.
Choose from over twenty small, intensive seminars (on topics including ethics of climate change, neuroethics, law, moral reasoning, technology, information ethics, social justice, global health, end of life care, animal ethics, & more), bioethics movie nights, and selected events in Spanish and French for native speakers. Participants also visit the Hastings Center & present a poster at Yale School of Medicine.
Recent alumni have presented their work at bioethics conferences at Oxford, the American Society of Bioethics and Humanities, UNESCO’s World Conference, and the International Association of Bioethics World Congress.
Admissions are rolling. We encouraged by December 15 , but rolling admissions will continue through the spring.
The AUA is pleased to announce the 2020 Annual Urology Advocacy Summit has been rescheduled from March 16 – 18 and will now take place from August 31 to September 2, 2020 in Washington, DC. If you are already registered, we have transferred your registration to the new dates. In the coming weeks, we will share additional information regarding hotel and travel, along with information to help you easily engage your lawmakers on the issues most important to you and your practice.
